Not all résumés need to be ATS-Friendly.
If you are submitting your résumé directly to the final decision-maker (and your documents won’t be scanned into an ATS), you might want to make your résumé pop a bit more with graphics. This might include using columns, tables, boxes, wingdings (instead of just bullets), charts or other graphics.
Marc Edmund’s résumé is an example of a networking résumé and contains two shaded text boxes that make is professional overview and list of skills stand out more.
You will also see a few notes I’ve made to Marc in red.
